Facelift, forehead lift, eyelid surgery
More and more men are discovering plastic surgery as a means of improving their appearance. Aesthetic facial procedures for men are carried out in line with different criteria to those followed when performing procedures on women.
It is important that the masculine appearance of the face is maintained. For example, male eyebrows are usually positioned lower on the face than female eyebrows and are often considerably flatter, i.e. less arched in shape. As male patients mostly want their faces to continue reflecting the lives that they have led, excess skin and lines are generally removed with more restraint than they are during procedures on women.
The patient shown in Figs. 1 and 2 underwent a face and forehead lift, as well as surgery on all four eyelids and an ear correction procedure.
Figs. 3 and 4 illustrate the effects of a procedure that used a laser to remove dark pigmentation under the eyes.
